Executive Assistant I

SALARY DETAILS:

Hourly range of $22.47 to $26.05 with the potential to earn up to $28.05 based on annual step increases / Non-Exempt position / 12-month work year

IN THIS ROLE:

You will provide overall coordination for the Executive Director of District and School Services, including maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders, research and preparing reports and presentations. You will multi-task a variety of functions to effectively perform various administrative support activities.

WHAT WE NEED:

We are seeking a highly professional, confidential, and collaborative individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide overall coordination for the Executive Director including maintaining communication within and between departments, LEA staff, and the general public; participating in planning, decision-making, and problem-solving with department members and stakeholders; reporting operational concerns to the Executive Director and making recommendations for resolution; and supporting department project objectives, timelines, tracking systems, meetings, activities and events. Your excellent leadership skills will be essential for coordinating the implementation and documentation of goals and priorities, development and maintenance of standard operating procedures under the direction of the Executive Director, and development of multimedia presentations, materials, brochures, and handouts. Your strong organizational and project management skills will be needed for the coordination of assigned projects and supporting the coordination and/or daily operations of assigned functions. Your attention to detail will be needed for executing various accounting procedures (tracking expenditures, purchase orders, purchase card purchases and records, processing contracts/contractor invoices, fund transfers, and budgets), compiling and maintaining statistics, and generating reports.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Five years of related experience required. Experience supporting executive level management preferred.
  • Proficient computer software skills, including use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skilled in prioritizing work dealing with diverse department managers. Independent thinking skills and excellent aptitude in dealing with the public.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance and Operations.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision, distractions and interruptions.
  • Strong organizational, research, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive materials and maintain confidentiality.
